Hello, I am Polly Behringer, and welcome to the Personal Shaman Podcast, the voice of Release Reset.
In this episode, you will experience a guided visualization meditation inspired by the poem, The Road Not Taken, written by Robert Frost in 1915.
This exercise is one of my most requested during lectures, likely because it allows individuals to be transported from walking through a forest to standing along a road, reaching a crossroads where they see a version of themselves in a car slowing down to offer a ride. It enables you to witness two versions of yourself: one at the crossroads and another radiating confidence, embodying a life well lived.
During this episode, I will share the poem, The Road Not Taken, and my personal reflections on selected lines that have inspired moments in my own life. I encourage you to do the same.
The flow of my episodes continues to evolve as I take you on personal journeys—sharing my life experiences, providing behind-the-scenes insights, and being transparent about my own path. I am sharing not only for education but also from lived experience. I have taken many roads less traveled, faced questions and judgments—such as being called crazy or insane for choosing unconventional routes that have significantly altered the trajectory of my life and relationships.

5 Minute Meditation - Blending Practices to Create the Time
Wednesday Feb 11, 2026
Wednesday Feb 11, 2026
I wanted to get back to meditating, but I was struggling with time constraints of incorporating into the flow of my day. It turns out a lot of listeners, friends and people that ask me about meditation do too!
I take on a brief journey over coffee on my front porch sharing how I'm modifying and stacking habits / routines that I'm already doing that are part of my journey and melding holistic practices like yoga and meditation.
In this episode, you will find a BRIEF 5-MINUTE GUIDED MEDITATION that includes connecting to your breath and body. Before you know it, the meditation is over! I would challenge you to re-explore this episode daily over the course of 2 weeks; doing the 5 minute meditation every day and journal how you feel after the session. The meditation begins around the 4:55 mark.

Monday Jan 12, 2026
In this episode, we'll go through the power transformation that happens during Yoga Nidra as we begin to explore how the 3 main Nadis are activated during yoga nidra and the role the central nadi, Sushumna, plays an integral part of Kundalini awakening.
This is longer (less edited version) episode. I touch on so many topics such as; how our personal perception creates our reality, which limits our views of what we're truly capable of... the bank account of healing from doing Yoga Nidra, activation of the chakras during yoga nidra by the nadis. Use this episode as an overview... a guide or roadmap for the next following episodes as we take sections of this episode and dive deeper into subjects I cover.

The Healing Frequency: Cellular Repair and Yoga Nidra
Wednesday May 07, 2025
Wednesday May 07, 2025
This is an excerpt from our new online course, 10 Days to Mindfulness (on our website). This episode explores the power of cellular healing your body goes through and how the practice of Yoga Nidra helps facilitate this internal, intuitive healing process.
Yoga Nidra helps to regulate the nervous system by calming the fight or flight response and activating the rest and digest response. So this shift in the nervous system activity promotes a state of deep relaxation and allows the body to engage in the healing process, the cellular healing that your body is in need of.

Your Host
Hi, I'm Polly Behringer,
Holistic Modalities Physical & Emotional Trauma Release / Relief
I initially created this podcast for two strong reasons; to help my body recover nightly as I walked the Camino de Santiago, a 500+ mile walk across Spain... and for the clients I would not be accessible to while gone.
Now, that I'm back I will be adding episodes that contains an accumulation of answers to the many questions I receive about modalities such as; trauma release, yoga nidra, pranayama, energy cultivation & expansion, speeding up the healing process, letting go of hurt, lucid dreaming, reframing / rewriting the past, paradigm shifting, journaling methods & moving into a life where you take risks.
I record the episodes the way I would if we were sitting together. Episodes range from 6 - 15 minutes when explaining the mechanics & benefits of modalities. I'll share personal experiences & stories as I moved into discovering these practices, my personal adventures... See, once you begin to heal the way you view your body... you expand your own realm of possibilities.
You have the option to listen episodes of Yoga Nidra sessions to help you reset & peace emotionally & physically. I will include guest and sharing their own personal experiences and what has helped them too.
